Vintage 1960s Metzendorf 13ft Canned Ham Camper Trailer Restored NO RESERVE

Our 1960's Metzendorf went through a frame up restoration several years ago. Our goal with Eleanor was to create a modern version of the classic 1960’s canned ham trailers. This trailer looks and feels just like a vintage trailer should- with the added bonus of an entirely new trailer under its old aluminum skins.
Metzendorf History:
"They were produced in the 50’s and early 60’s by Martin Metzendorf of West Farmington, Ohio, approximately 10 miles northwest of Warren, Ohio. The owners had the trailers built with Amish laborers..."
The frame, exterior aluminum skins, black vintage windows and the copper gas light inside are all original.
When you first walk into Eleanor, you're greeted with a quaint dining table to the right. Underneath both dining seats is storage space including one cavity that holds the battery. The dining table collapses into a second bed option if necessary. Straight into the trailer is the kitchen prep space with a two burner gas range, a small sink (with a hand pump faucet), overhead LED lights, a retro-looking mini fridge and small storage. To the left of the trailer is a long couch that folds out into the larger bed area. Directly to the left in the doorway is a taller cabinet area for storage and a cubby with access to a outlet for easy phone/accessory charging. Overall, Eleanor is small but she is jam packed with thoughtful design touches and character.
This trailer was taken down to the frame and completely rebuilt with new floor, walls, insulation and wiring as well as birch veneer interior skins.
Some of the other new additions include, Black/white flooring, custom built cabinets/upholstery, Powermax convertor, retro-looking 110v fridge, 12v ceiling fan, 2-12v LED lights, chrome sink pump, marble laminate countertop and dining table, LED running/tail lights and tires on vintage rims with new center moon caps. The trailer is even equip with brakes and a 7 pin plug so it can be pulled with almost any vehicle!
The trailer has always been stored inside and has seen very little foul weather.

Overall body length: 10' (tongue adds roughly 3')
Overall outside trailer height: 6'4"
Overall outside trailer width: 6'5"
Hauling weight: 1,200-1,500lbs, it has brakes as well!
Middle ceiling height: 5'6" (drop down section)
Inside ceiling height: 4'8"
Couch bed: 6'3"l x 3'8"w
Dining table bed: 6'3"l x 2'7"w

With all of the positives out of the way, here is a list of cons that we have encountered with the trailer.
-The size of the trailer is not ideal for everyone. It is ideally suited for 1-2 people.
-The dinette is hard to access from the one side because we did not angle the table.
-The are pin sized holes (as pictured in product listing) in some areas of the birch wood panels from an attack of wood boring insects. The trailer has been fumigated to ensure this has been taken care of (the fumigation is done with ozone and does not leave any odor or residue)
-The door doesn't always latch properly.
-The original aluminum skins have some ripples/dents. We chose to leave these to keep the trailer authentic.
We hope that someone else can use her more and appreciate all the character this trailer has. We personally think she would make the most darling little vacation rental and I can't wait to see where she lives on.
