  • Condition: I would grade this banknote as a nice extremely fine with all of its details being well preserved. The note retains quite a bit of its original stiffness, crispiness, and sheen. It is relatively clean and has no stains. It does have a central fold and a few minor wrinkles. Its corners are intact and squared with minimum rounding. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. It has some minor roughness along the top and bottom edges at the ends of the vertical central fold.     Description:
    A beautiful nice extremely fine banknote issued by The Bank of Scotland. This is the 22nd November 1961 issue One Pound Sterling currency note. The banknote is light brown with a pale blue colored medallion in the center of the front. The medallion displays a woman seated with a shield to her side and holding a plant in her hand. The front also displays the denomination, the date, the serial number, and two signatures. The back of the note is grayish-brown with the image of a sailboat in the center with a shield above it and surrounded by thistles. The back also shows the denomination both in the bottom corners. This particular note has the serial numberE0191619. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
