    RAYTHEON P1F1C

Barbey Electronics' Guide to Deciphering Switch Descriptions
    :
Switches will come with the description:
    _P_T
    .  The '
    P
' stands for 'pole' and the '
    T
' stands for 'throw.'  'Pole' refers to the number of parts/circuits/rows of pins being connected by the switch, while 'throw' refers to the number of positions/possible connections offered by the switch.
To that effect, a switch described as '
    SPST
' - single pole, single throw - will connect and disconnect one pin from one other pin.
    examples:
    SPST
    (single pole, single throw)
    DPDT
    (double pole, double throw)
    3P3T
    (triple pole, triple throw)
    etc.
    * As far as the '
    ON-OFF
    ' information goes, anything
    with a parenthesis
    around it is
    momentary
(i.e. the switch only stays in the position while being physically held there, when you let it go it will snap back to its previous position), while anything
    without a parenthesis
    is
    maintained
(the switch will remain in this position until it is physically moved again).
    That means a
    DPDT
    switch described as
    (ON)-OFF-ON
    would make a
    momentary
connection when pushed in the first direction and a
    maintained
connection when pushed the other way.  When put in the middle, the switch will disconnect.  Similarly, '
    NONE
' means that the position is skipped/omitted/not used.  A
    DPDT
    switch described as
    ON-NONE-OFF
    will perform like an
    ON-OFF
    DPST
    switch.
