    Description

This auction is for an official
    1970
Los Angeles Dodgers scorecard / program
    from my personal collection.
This scorecard was purchased at the Sunday, June 14th, game against the Chicago Cubs at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California.  The Dodgers would defeat the Cubs, 5-4, on a 2-out, 2-run walk-off home run in the 9th inning by Bill Sudakis.
Earlier in this game in the 2nd inning, legendary Cub and Hall of Famer,
    Ernie Banks
    hit his
503rd home run of his career
off of Bill Singer.  The previous day, Ernie hit his 502nd home run, also in the 2nd inning, off of Claude Osteen.  He would hit only 9 more home runs in his career, finishing with 512.  The following year, 1971, would be his 19th and final season in the Majors.
This scorecard contains photos, rosters and baseball history highlighted by a great photo of Lou Brock and Willie Davis and an ad for Teac stereo equipment featuring Vin Scully and Don Drysdale.
It measures 8-1/4" wide by 11" tall and its cover is graced by the art work of famed cartoonist, Karl Hubenthal, and his caricature of Ted Sizemore, the 1969 National League Rookie of the Year.
The cover of this scorecard is in
    excellent condition
.  However, the last 3 pages on the inside, but not the back cover, have been cut. The 3rd page from the back has the top 40% removed.  The removal also cut the last 2 pages horizontally from the spline to the edge, without any paper being removed.  Other than the last 3 pages, the entire scorecard is in
    very good to excellent condition
    .  The score sheet is
    scored
through the 1st 5 innings, including
    Banks'
    home run.
