Under current ownership for 20 years.
Current owners description:
The 1963 Airstream Bambi 16' Trailer is fully restored while retaining the original floor plan and style.
A shell-off restoration including refurbished frame, new subfloor marine-grade with epoxy.
The restoration was completed in July 2019 and has been used only one night since then. The restoration included a new floor, refurbished and new interior components, new body components, exceptional woodwork, wood and stainless trim, stainless steel fixtures, stainless trim, new upholstery, and fabric. It is fully functional as a camping trailer.
New upholstery and all the drapes were redone in 18yds of Luna Textiles Propeller (time-appropriate) textiles at 0.00 per yard.
A new NOS Linoleum floor, encompassing the entire subfloor, even under the cabinetry.
All systems updated, including plumbing, sanitary, freshwater, electrical and such. New water tank & new pump. New water heater behind the original modified water heater door.
Updated wiring, but retaining the dual Voltage system due to originality concerns.
New space heater, and updated propane lines and regulator.
The original interior was reinstalled.
New Norcold refrigerator with a grain-matched door panel.
Wet bath completely restored
New galley countertops and faucets.
Polished after replacing several curved panels with 2024 Alclad aluminum.
Windows were restored and reset; several glass panes were replaced.
The interior Zolatone was found in good and serviceable conditions and was cleaned with just a few areas needing touch-up and matching.
New tires (three) and freshly adjusted brakes and wheel bearings.
New vintage style awning.
New polished LPG tanks
Upgraded exterior lighting.
New roof vent fan.
